Dallas, TX – One Killed in Drunk Driving Accident on Lawnview Ave

Dallas, TX (January 3, 2021) – A motor vehicle accident involving a drunk driver claimed one person’s life on Thursday evening in the Dallas area, according to law enforcement.

On December 31, the Dallas Police Department, firefighters, and medical personnel were requested to assist at the scene of a major motor vehicle collision. Reports show that at approximately 8:45 p.m., a crash involving a Toyota and a second vehicle occurred on Lawnview Avenue at the intersection with Scyene Road.

Reports from the police found that a sedan was traveling west along Scyene Road when the vehicle broadsided a southbound Toyota at the intersection.

The driver of the Toyota sustained severe injuries in the accident. Despite attempts by EMTs to provide life-saving efforts at the scene of the accident, the victim was pronounced deceased. The driver of the sedan was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. The driver was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
