Couple Killed in Texas Chain Reaction Truck Accident

A husband and wife trucker team from Ridgeway, Texas, was killed in a fiery tractor-trailer accident outside of Dilley on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 3.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 49-year-old Randy Stowe and 45-year-old Regina Stowe were in a tractor-trailer approaching the intersection Highway 85 and FM 1582 when the chain-reaction collision took place. Randy Stowe was at the wheel when authorities believe he failed to slow and stop for a big rig stopped at a stop sign. Their truck crashed into the back of the stopped truck, which in turn slammed into a third commercial tractor-trailer that was proceeding through the intersection.
The Stowe’s vehicle burst into flames and neither could escape the cab. The couple was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The other two truck drivers involved in the three-truck accident were also injured, with one suffering chest pain and the other suffering from chest and back pain. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment in stable condition.
The cause of the fatal Texas truck accident is under investigation.
The Dallas truck wreck attorneys at the Rasansky Law Firm send their condolences to the loved ones of the Stowes and wish the two other truck drivers a complete recovery.
