Reports from authorities show that 53-year-old Ronald Charles Brown was driving a 2018 Kenworth Paccar truck south on US Highway 69 when his vehicle collided with a 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe, which was driven by 42-year-old Shane Blair Brawley.
The impact of the crash caused Brawley’s vehicle to leave the roadway and strike two pedestrians on the west side of the roadway.
One pedestrian, 31-year-old Carmen Garcia, was fatally injured in the crash. The second victim, 37-year-old Martin Saenz Garcia, was transported to an area hospital in serious condition. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
