Austin, TX – Worker Injured in Collapse on Bluestein Blvd

Austin, TX (December 24, 2020) – A workplace accident in the Austin area left one person seriously injured on Tuesday, according to reports. At around 9:10 a.m., the Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the site of an incident on Bluestein Boulevard.

Reports show that a construction worker was performing duties of their job at a construction site located in the 6600 block of Bluestein Boulevard Service Road when a staircase collapsed. The worker was seriously injured in the accident. Crews responded to the site of the incident and immediately secured the area. Medical personnel rendered aid to the victim briefly at the scene.

The injured worker was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center where they were admitted in critical condition. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation with the police in Austin.
