On February 19, at around 7:25 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident in the 7100 block of Airline Drive. Reports indicate that two-vehicle were racing down the roadway when one of them struck a pedestrian near Rittenhouse Street.
The male pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased on site.
Both vehicles involved in the race fled the scene without stopping to render aid. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
