At around 1:30 a.m., on February 10, emergency crews were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on the north side of Austin. Reports indicate that a motor vehicle accident occurred along Mearns Meadow Boulevard at the intersection with Rutland Drive after one driver ran a red light and blew through the intersection.
The collision involved two black sedans, both of which came to rest in the grass along the roadway. Both vehicles suffered extensive damages in the collision.
Sadly, one driver suffered fatal injuries in the collision and was declared deceased after multiple attempts were made to revive them.
A second individual was arrested at the scene.
At this time, police are investigating.
