Reports from authorities show that a chain reaction collision occurred on Interstate 20 near Exit 447 for Kelly-Elliott Road. This incident, which was caused by a suspected impaired driver, caused moderate delays throughout the area.
One woman involved in the accident was fatally injured. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second woman and two children were all injured. The three victims were transported to a local hospital for further medical assistance. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
