Abilene, TX – Cynthia Daniels Killed in Rollover Accident on US-277

Abilene, TX (February 1, 2020) – At around 9 a.m., on January 31, Abilene Police and emergency crews rushed to the scene of a motor vehicle collision on US Highway 277. According to police, 71-year-old Cynthia Daniels was traveling north along the roadway in a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu when her vehicle collided with a 2014 Dodge pickup truck head-on.

The impact of the collision caused the Malibu to roll over. Crews worked for over one hour to remove the victim from her vehicle. Daniels was rushed to an area hospital where she was declared deceased.

The driver of the Dodge, who was identified as 24-year-old Dakota Parson, was transported to a local area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
