An elderly nursing home patient, who was known by staff to have a fall risk, was negligently allowed to fall from a chair while being transferred.

As a result of the fall, the woman struck her head and eventually passed away due to chronic subdural hematomas which developed as a result of the fall. The case was eventually settled for $250,000.00.
