Natural Gas and Propane Explosions
Injuries Caused by Natural Gas Explosions

Following multiple residential fires and at least one home explosion that left a 12-year-old girl dead, many Dallas residents are rightfully concerned about the safety of Atmos’ natural gas pipelines running under all of our homes. It was recently discovered that Atmos was aware of these gas leaks more than seven weeks, yet failed to make repairs or even adequately warn residents of the clear danger these leaks posed.

Those in Dallas who’ve suffered an injury or wrongful death as the result of a natural gas fire or explosion have every right to seek compensation for their pain and suffering, damage to their home, lost wages or income, medical bills, and more.

Bringing a claim against Atmos is not an easy undertaking, but with the help on an experienced attorney, you can ensure that you have the best chance at a successful case. Best of all, Rasansky Law Firm works on a no-win no-fee basis, meaning you will never have to risk a single penny out of pocket to pursue the compensation your family deserves.

Home explosion caused by gas leak kills 12-year-old Dallas girl.

In February of this year, a 12-year-old girl lost her life when her family’s home violently exploded. Four others in the home were injured, while the girl was pronounced dead on arrival at Parkland Hospital.

Following this fatal home explosion, the National Transport Safety Board commenced investigations, with neighborhood evacuations that affected over 300 people as well as 700 students at Foster Elementary School. When families were allowed to go back to their homes, another leaking Atmos Energy pipeline was discovered just a half a mile from the site of the original explosion, eventually prompting additional evacuations while emergency repairs were being made.

In March, it was reported that Atmos Energy had been aware of gas leaks in a northwest Dallas neighborhood for more than seven weeks prior to the explosion, and lawyers for the family claim that Atmos failed to perform the repairs.

Two Dallas men injured in Atmos gas explosion.

Earlier this month, two men suffered severe burns when the duplex they were in exploded and caught fire. The incident occurred on Spring Avenue in Dallas’s Fair Park Neighborhood. It’s alleged that this incident was also caused by a leak in a line owned by Atmos Energy.

The force of the explosion was so great that it blew out the entire face of the right side of the duplex, before causing a fire which was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The two men were shuttled to Parkland Memorial Hospital, with one of them reported to be in serious condition.
