The 2500 truck and a gold Nissan Murano were headed westbound when the 1500 pickup entered oncoming traffic and crashed into both vehicles. The driver of the 2500 truck, 62-year-old Javier Munoz of Houston, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. His passenger, 53-year-old Dolores Munoz of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the 1500 pickup, identified as 60-year-old James Wyatt of Orange, was also killed in the impact. No updates on the conditions of the occupants of the Nissan have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is underway.
