Reports from DPS show that a female pedestrian was walking near the intersection of Southeast Loop 323 and Troup Highway when she was struck by a vehicle. The woman suffered serious injuries in the accident. She was rushed from the scene of the incident to an area hospital for treatment. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
