Three Injured in School Bus Rollover Outside of Dallas

A bus driver, a special education student, and the student’s aide were all examined at a local hospital, as a precaution, after being involved in a school bus accident near Dallas.
According to the Houston Chronicle, a small school bus carrying two passengers was traveling on I-635 in Mesquite, Texas, when it was clipped by another vehicle on the roadway and rolled several times before coming to a stop.
The bus was traveling to a school in Garland, Texas, at the time of the accident, which occurred on Monday morning, July 25. The school bus accident is under investigation to determine what caused the accident and who was at fault. It is not known whether the bus driver will continue to operate the bus during the investigation.
Mesquite Independent School District spokeswoman Laura Jobe told reporters that both adults and the student were checked out by medical professionals and that all three were conscious and alert in the wake of the rollover accident. It is not know if the small bus was equipped with seat belts or whether the special education student was restrained in any way during the accident. It is not known whether the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident was injured.
