Reports from the HCSO show that at around 3 p.m., multiple vehicles collided on the northbound side of the interstate near the area of Hardy Toll Road. This incident resulted in extended delays in the area.
Two juveniles, ages 13 and 11, were transported via Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital. Authorities confirmed that the 13-year-old succumbed to their injuries after arriving.
Three adults were transported to local hospitals for treatment of serious injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
