Six People Injured In New Braunfels Accident On I-35

Two people were airlifted to Texas hospitals while four others were transported by ambulance to nearby medical centers after a two-vehicle accident took place in New Braunfels this week. The car wreck occurred on I-35 near Kohlenberg Road during Friday afternoon rush hour.
According to Texas Police, one person was flown by helicopter to a hospital because of critical injuries while another person was also airlifted to help because she was pregnant and injured. The remaining four people were taken to New Braunfels Hospital and the Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos. The large number of injuries was caused when one of the two cars involved in the accident rolled several times.
Emergency responders closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 so that the helicopters could land and so that they could investigate the car accident and clean up debris. The lanes were re-opened by 7 p.m. that evening.
