Reports from police indicate that a woman was traveling west down Interstate 10 in a white Mercedes SUV when her vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler near the exit for La Cantera Parkway.
The impact of the collision caused the semi-truck trailer to flip over and burst into flames. The driver of the SUV was ejected from her vehicle. She suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.
