Reports from authorities show that a major fire incident broke out at a residence located in the 1200 block of Virginia Boulevard for unknown reasons. Crews battled the blaze for an extended time before taking control of the situation. One person was seriously injured inside the home. The victim was rescued from the home and rushed to Brooke Army Medical Center burn unit for treatment of serious injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
