Fatal Semi-Truck Accidents in Texas

Royse City, TX - Two Killed in Wrong-Way Crash with Semi on I-30Collisions involving large 18-wheelers are some of the most devastating possible. In 2022, the Texas Department of Transportation reported that there were 5,620 trucking accidents reported across the state. The state has nearly double the national fatality rate as it concerns semi-truck crashes, with 1,228 reported fatalities in trucking collisions compared to 928 deadly crashes nationwide. Statistics also show that 4,804 people are hurt annually in trucking accidents across the state. We all share the road with semi-trucks occasionally, and most of us in Texas do not think twice about it. However, a sense of fear often comes with passing one of these large commercial rigs, and there is a good reason. An 18-wheeler can cause complete devastation when it collides with a passenger car, and these types of crashes are much more likely to end in fatal or life-threatening injuries. Sadly, many people lose their lives in trucking accidents in Texas each year. Many families are reeling from the loss of a loved one after a fatal accident. Unfortunately, this means that many are not thinking about their ability to seek legal action and financially recover from any resulting damages. Negligent drivers should be held responsible for their actions, and your loved one deserves justice after a wrongful death. You should partner with an experienced law firm that can handle these types of cases and achieve real results. Rasansky | McKenzie Law can help grieving families pursue wrongful death claims in order to recover from any expenses resulting from a deadly trucking accident.
