Reports from the Lubbock Police Department show that 57-year-old Ernesto Aguilar was traveling south near the 6900 block of Southeast Drive when his vehicle collided with a box truck, which was driven by 41-year-old Augustin Vasquez.
The drivers of both trucks were severely injured. The two men were rushed to University Medical Center where they were declared deceased. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the cause of the crash are under investigation with the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit.
