Livingston, TX - One Killed, Several Hurt in Pileup Crash on US-59

The Toyota hit an 18-wheeler, which then hit the Beetle. The driver of the Tundra was transported to CHI St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. After this accident, a second crash occurred when an International semi-trailer slowed down and was hit by a Freightliner truck. 

A third crash then took place when a Peterbilt semi-truck came to a stop on the road. An oncoming Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck veered to avoid a collision but ultimately hit the Peterbilt. Two additional accidents took place, resulting in injuries. The victims were identified as 44-year-old Jaqueline Teeters of Livingston, 37-year-old Drew Broom of Jasper, and 37-year-old Selina Gilchriest. They were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Gilchriest later succumbed to her injuries. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.

Livingston, TX (January 16, 2024) – One person was killed and multiple others were injured following a multi-vehicle collision in the Livingston area on Monday, January 15. The accident took place on US-59 near the Trinity River Bridge early that morning at around 8:20 a.m. Local reports revealed that a Toyota Tundra and Volkswagen Beetle were traveling southbound when the Toyota lost control.
