Emergency crews were quickly dispatched after being notified of a pedestrian-vehicle accident. The impact threw the pedestrian across the street where they hit a second vehicle that was stopped at the intersection. Witnesses at the scene tried to render aid to the injured pedestrian. The victim was later transported to a hospital by ambulance for treatment of critical injuries. They were later pronounced dead. 

The driver involved initially left the scene but returned and identified themselves to authorities. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.

The deadly crash was reported early that morning at around 7:30 a.m. at the corner of Westheimer Road and Sage Road.
