The impact caused the rider to be ejected from the bike. As the victim was walking back to his bike, he was hit by a second vehicle. The driver of the first car remained at the scene and attempted to render aid to the injured party. 

The injured rider was transported by Lifeflight to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is in progress.
