The deadly accident was reported on TX-71 at around 11:20 p.m. An 18-wheeler reportedly collided with another vehicle, and multiple emergency response units were dispatched to the scene. Two victims were pinned inside their vehicle and had to be extricated by emergency personnel.
These two victims were later pronounced dead at the scene. A third victim refused transport to the hospital.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is in progress.
