The fatal accident was reported on TX-44 at around 6:11 a.m. It was reported that a Volvo truck tractor semi-trailer was headed westbound when the trucker reportedly failed to stay in a single lane. The truck veered into eastbound traffic, where it collided head-on with a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The 25-year-old driver of the pickup sustained fatal injuries in the impact. No additional information has been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is in progress.
