If you think about cars, toys, other products that are mass-assembled, and the hundreds of thousands or millions of products that are produced and manufactured and sent out all over the world… If a product can be made for a dollar cheaper, or a hundred dollars cheaper, then it might be to make it safer or use an alternative design.
There are many companies that will place profit well ahead of consumer safety.
