The fatal accident took place just after 6:30 a.m. when a 20-year-old woman rear-ended a rental truck on the interstate. The impact left her vehicle disabled. It was then that a tractor-trailer towing three truck tractors hit the passenger side of the woman’s vehicle.
The driver was ejected, and she sustained fatal injuries in the collision. She was later pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel. The other driver was transported to Northwest Texas Hospital for treatment.

An ongoing investigation into the deadly truck accident is in progress.
We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.
Fatal Trucking Accidents in Texas
Every year, 18-wheeler accidents cause up to 300 fatalities and over 2,000 injuries. In the United States, there are almost 2 million heavy trucks in use, and there are more than 500,000 18-wheeler accidents nationwide every year. More than 5,000 fatalities involving semi-trucks are thought to have occurred. Almost 98 percent of these fatalities involve a driver or passenger of a car other than a truck. In the case of a collision, these huge trucks are capable of causing significant, potentially fatal injuries.
A wrongful death case is the only way to guarantee that the irresponsible parties are held accountable, that similarly risky behavior will not result in more fatalities, and that you and your family have enough money to care for and support one another in the event that your loved one passes away. There is no way to appropriately compensate for the loss of a loved one, as our attorneys are aware of. By giving the decedent’s family and estate the means to care for themselves and their loved ones in the decedent’s absence through the use of resources provided by wrongful death lawsuits, surviving family members are able to hold the negligent defendants accountable legally and financially. We want to ensure that your legal rights are protected, and a Texas wrongful death attorney is prepared and ready to help you at any time.
