The vehicle entered a ditch, where it hit a tree on the passenger side. Emergency crews were present to render aid to the involved parties. The passenger sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. The deceased party and driver were later identified as 80-year-old Isabella Cross and 81-year-old Robert Cross, both from Universal City. No additional information on the deadly accident has been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
