Text off.
It’s not a bad idea to turn off text and e-mail alerts while you’re on the road. Of course, you won’t know if somebody e-mails or texts you while you’re driving but, if you have any sense, you won’t be able to look at those e-mails or texts until you pull over, so you don’t really need to know about it anyway.
