The deadly accident took place on US-287 at around 5:35 a.m. It was reported that a 22-year-old man was driving the wrong way in a 2007 Kia Spectra when he collided head-on with a 2010 Freightliner Truck tractor towing a semi-trailer. 

The man’s vehicle entered the median, where it overturned multiple times. The Freightliner also overturned and caught fire. The 54-year-old man driving the rig was hospitalized for treatment, and the 22-year-old man was pronounced dead. 

An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash is in progress.
