Deadly Semi-Truck Accidents in Texas

Wallisville, TX - One Killed in Semi-Truck, Front Loader Crash on I-10

Driving in Texas can be challenging, and this is even more true when a commercial truck is on the road. Unfortunately, the state has the highest number of trucking fatalities in the country. The majority of the cargo is moved by truck, and Texas plays a significant role in the movement of goods across the country. On any given day, there are more than 2 million trucks on American roads, and more than 15,000 semi-truck crashes occur annually in the state of Texas. These crashes resulted in 2,000 injuries and an estimated 300 fatal trucking accidents. This translates to almost one injury for every seven collisions and one fatality for every 50 collisions. Your life can be changed forever when you lose someone in a trucking accident. Truck drivers are often pressured to be on the road for long hours in order to meet tight deadlines set by transportation companies. Despite national regulations about how long a truck can drive, many truckers take reckless actions to perform their jobs. This can sometimes result in unexpected and catastrophic collisions. Sadly, crashes involving a semi-truck are some of the most catastrophic, and those traveling in smaller passenger cars are the most at risk. You need to do everything in your power to pursue full and fair compensation if you or a loved one was involved in a trucking accident. Wrongful death claims are some of the most complicated types of civil torts, and you need a trained legal team that can stand by your side to make sure your case is handled fairly. Rasansky | McKenzie Law understands that families who have experienced the loss of a loved one are going through a difficult time. Our experienced wrongful death lawyers are ready to fight for justice for you and your family.
