Waco, TX - Two Hospitalized in Crash at Franklin Ave & 17th St

Waco, TX (February 23, 2024) - There were reported injuries after a vehicle collision in the Waco area on Thursday, February 22. The crash occurred at the corner of Franklin Avenue and 17th Street early that morning at around 8:50 a.m. Local reports indicated that a sport utility vehicle and a pickup truck collided at the scene. 

Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Two people were hospitalized by ambulance as a result of the crash. One person was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by local emergency crews. 

The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. No further information on the crash has been provided at this time. Local authorities are handling an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash, and more information will be made available as it continues.
