The patrol car ended up colliding with another vehicle at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Valley Mills Drive. Two officers with the Waco Police Department were hurt, along with another individual. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. The driver involved in the initial traffic stop, Paul Resendez, was later taken into custody at the 3100 block of Franklin Avenue. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
