Vernon, TX - One Killed, Four Hurt in Crash with 18-Wheeler on US-70

Vernon, TX (June 11, 2023) - On Saturday, June 9, one person was killed and four others injured after a crash involving a semi-truck in Vernon. 

The deadly accident was reported on US-70 in Wilbarger County. Three vehicles reportedly collided at the scene. A 25-year-old Amarillo man was driving an Isuzu pickup truck when he collided with a semi-truck that was attempting to make a left turn. A third vehicle was also hit. 

The driver of the pickup suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people were also hurt in the collision.
