San Antonio, TX - Woman Dies in Fiery Rollover on I-410

San Antonio, TX (March 2, 2024) - An elderly woman was killed after her car was hit by a speeding driver in the San Antonio area on Friday morning, March 1. The deadly accident was reported on Interstate 410 near the exit for US-281 at around 3 a.m. The victim was driving a Hyundai Santa Cruz when she was hit from behind by the driver of a speeding Ford Bronco. 

The Bronco overturned and burst into flames as a result of the impact. The driver exited the vehicle and took off on foot without rendering aid to the other parties. The crash caused the Hyundai to hit a concrete barrier and rolled over. 

The woman driving the Santa Cruz was rescued by emergency personnel and transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, she was later pronounced dead. A passenger in the vehicle was also extricated and hospitalized. The deceased party was later identified as 76-year-old Eden Nuval of Anaheim, CA. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
