San Angelo, TX (March 9, 2024) - On Friday, March 8, one person was injured following a two-vehicle accident in the San Angelo area. The collision was reported at the corner of S. Bryant Boulevard and W. Avenue L that afternoon. Local reports indicated that the crash occurred as a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck was in the process of making a left turn at the intersection.
The light reportedly turned green, causing the driver of a red truck to hit the back-left side of the Ford. Local reports revealed that the injured driver of the red truck was lying on the roadway at the scene. The injured party was transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment.
The driver of the F-150 was cited for failure to yield and turning left at a red light. No further information on the accident is currently available, but an ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.
Traveling through an intersection is something that most of us do without thinking twice about it. However, if you look at the statistics, you may be more concerned next time you enter a crossroads. Statistics show that nearly 50 percent of injury crashes and 20 percent of deadly collisions take place at intersections. It only takes one reckless driver to run a red light, ignore a stop sign, or fail to yield the right of way to cause a crash. Nearly 22 percent of car accidents involve a driver making a left-hand turn. It can be hard to recover from the injuries and damages that can be caused by a sudden car accident, and you should turn to a qualified attorney in order to pursue a claim and recover compensation for your losses.
