In Texas, car accidents occur on a daily basis. There were no days in 2021 without a fatality, indicating that Texas saw a regular number of fatal car accidents. Both rural and urban areas experience crashes regularly across the state. Single-vehicle crashes where the driver ran off the road resulted in 1,550 fatalities in 2021, making up an estimated 34.5 percent of all motor vehicle traffic fatalities. In addition, 613 individuals died in head-on collision wrecks that year, while 1,037 more people died in auto accidents that happened in, around, or connected to intersections. Distracted driving ranks second in terms of fatalities on Texas roads. Despite a 17 percent drop in fatalities from distracted driving-related incidents in 2020, 433 deaths were caused by distracted drivers in 2021.
We recognize that following a crash, it may not always be possible to do everything needed to maximize your recovery. You will not have time to record the scene or get the other driver's or witness's details if you were seriously hurt and taken right away to the hospital. This does not necessarily mean that your claim will fail. It just means that you need to engage a skilled car accident attorney to look into the matter even more. You should consult with an attorney about pursuing compensation for a car accident if you were injured in an unexpected car accident. The majority of vehicle accident claims are settled by insurance rather than going to trial, but your lawyer will be able to help make sure you get the most out of your settlement.
