Newton, TX - Nederland Man Dies in ATV Crash on TX-87

Newton, TX (April 19, 2024) - A man from Nederland was killed after a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle in the Newton area. The deadly accident was reported on TX-87 near County Road 3110 early that morning around 3:39 a.m. Local reports revealed that the victim was riding a Kawasaki ATV headed northbound when they were struck by a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Newton man. 

Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. The ATV rider, later identified as 21-year-old Kaleb Harvey of Nederland, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Harvey was pronounced dead at the scene. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
