The fatal accident was reported on TX-349 at around 3:45 p.m. Local sources revealed that a 34-year-old Amarillo man was traveling westbound in a Ford F-150 pickup truck when he collided with an eastbound semi-truck hauling a trailer. The driver of the pickup suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the truck, a 36-year-old man from Midland, was injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. No additional information has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
