Local sources revealed that 20-year-old Blake Garza was driving a passenger car headed eastbound at the 6500 block of Spur 327. Garza collided with a southbound SUV on Milwaukee driven by 30-year-old Anthony Washington. A passenger in Garza’s vehicle, 18-year-old Naomi Harry, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Garza was transported to University Medical Center in critical condition where she later succumbed to his injuries.
Washington suffered minor injuries and was later arrested. He is currently facing two counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of resisting arrest. No further updates are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
