Lubbock, TX (February 24, 2024) - One person suffered serious injuries after a car accident in the Lubbock area on Friday, February 23. The accident was reported on Marsha Sharp Freeway late that night at around 8:41 p.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched in order to render aid to the involved parties.
Local reports indicated that there were serious injuries at the scene. All eastbound lanes were temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. The involved parties were treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The resulting wreckage had to be removed by tow trucks to reopen the roadway to outside traffic. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
