Lubbock, TX - One Killed, Several Hurt in Pileup Crash on US-84

Lubbock, TX (December 26, 2023) - One person was killed and several others were injured following a multi-vehicle collision in the Lubbock area on Christmas night. The fatal accident was reported on US-84 at the Frankford overpass at around 6:20 p.m. Three or more vehicles collided at the scene, and all westbound lanes were closed while emergency responders were present. 

One person involved in the crash suffered fatal injuries, and multiple others were transported to local hospitals for treatment of sustained injuries. At this time, no updates on the fatal accident are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in the hands of local law enforcement officials, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
