Houston, TX - Two Injured in Red Light Crash at I-69 & McGowan St

Houston, TX (April 27, 2024) - Two people were hospitalized after a driver ran a red light in the Midtown neighborhood of Houston on Friday, April 26. The accident was reported early that morning on Interstate 69 near McGowan Street. Local reports revealed that a southbound driver ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle. 

Images from the scene showed an overturned white passenger car overturned, and a red pickup truck was significantly damaged. Two people involved in the accident were transported to a local hospital in serious condition. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol played a role in the accident. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
