Houston, TX - Injuries in Deadly Rear-End Crash on Richmond Ave

Houston, TX (February 21, 2024) - On Sunday, February 18, two people were killed and three others were injured following a two-vehicle collision in the Houston area. The deadly accident took place late that night at around 8 p.m. at the 6300 block of Richmond Avenue. Local reports indicated that a Toyota Camry was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the rear of a Toyota Scion.

The impact caused the Scion to collide with a tree, and the Camry hit a separate tree. A 30-year-old woman and a male passenger traveling in the Scion suffered fatal injuries in the accident. Two juvenile passengers were transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

The 19-year-old driving the Camry was also hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries. Impairment is not believed to have played a role in the crash. No charges have been filed at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
