Houston, TX - Cyclist Killed in Collision at Hwy 6 & FM 529

Houston, TX (March 6, 2024) - On Tuesday night, March 5, a bicyclist was killed after a collision in the Houston area. The deadly accident took place at the corner of Highway 6 and Farm to Market Road 529 late that night at around 10:30 p.m. A man was riding a bike when he was reportedly hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

The impact caused the rider to be ejected from the bike. As the victim was walking back to his bike, he was hit by a second vehicle. The driver of the first car remained at the scene and attempted to render aid to the injured party. 

The injured rider was transported by Lifeflight to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment of critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is in progress.
