Goliad, TX – Zachary Wilkinson Killed in Truck Crash on US-183 N

Goliad, TX (January 24, 2023) – A fatal truck accident took place in the Goliad area that claimed one man’s life. On January 23, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of a traffic crash that took place at approximately 11:25 a.m.

Investigative reports provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety show that Zachary Allen Wilkinson of Victoria, Texas, was driving a UPS 2019 Freightliner box truck on US Highway 183 North when his vehicle became involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Tedderrin Dontrell Powell, of Houston, Texas, was not injured in the crash.

Wilkinson suffered fatal injuries as a result of this truck crash. Authorities responded to the scene of the accident to provide care. However, he was pronounced deceased from his injuries.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
