The deadly accident took place on Farm to Market Road 1788 as a 40-year-old Midland man was headed northbound in a pickup truck hauling a horse trailer. The driver reportedly veered into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a southbound vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Laredo man. Both drivers suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Another passenger in the southbound car also suffered fatal injuries in the collision, and another occupant of the vehicle was transported to Permian Regional Medical Center. Two juveniles traveling in the pickup were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
The identities of the involved parties have been withheld. No further information on the deadly accident has been provided at this time.
