Edinburg, TX - Man Killed in Crash with Semi-Truck at Frontage & Rogers Rd

Edinburg, TX (August 23, 2023) - On Monday, August 22, a man was killed after a two-vehicle crash in the Edinburg area. 

The fatal accident was reported at the intersection of Frontage Road and E. Rogers Road at around 9 p.m. It was reported that a beige Chrysler minivan was traveling near the scene when it collided with the rear of a semi-truck that was headed northbound on Frontage Road. 

The 25-year-old Edinburg man driving the Chrysler was transported to Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead. The operator of the 18-wheeler was not hurt in the accident and cooperated with responding authorities. 

No further information on the accident has been provided at this time. The identities of the involved parties have been withheld. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials. More information will be provided as it continues.
