Dallas, TX - Toddler Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Monfort Dr

Dallas, TX (April 14, 2024) - A two-year-old was killed after being struck in a traffic accident in the Dallas area on Saturday, April 13. The deadly accident took place at the 13700 block of Monfort Drive early that day. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene after being notified of a serious pedestrian-vehicle accident. 

It was later revealed that the driver involved was parked along a curb when they pulled away to drive off. It was then that the victim was hit after running across the parking lot. The injured party was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. No updates on the deadly accident have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
