The fatal accident took place on TX-64 near County Road 4913 that afternoon. A 1994 Nissan XE collided with a trailer pulled by a truck as it slowed to make a left turn at the intersection. The 82-year-old man driving the Nissan suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were not hurt. No additional information has been provided at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
