Baytown, TX - Fatal Bicycle Accident at FM 1405 & McKinney Rd

Baytown, TX (April 16, 2024) - There were fatal injuries reported after a bicycle crash outside of Bayton on Sunday, April 14. The deadly crash was reported at the intersection of Farm to Market Road 1405 and McKinney Road that afternoon. Local reports revealed that a cyclist was hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Despite life-saving measures from responding paramedics, the injured rider sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The area was temporarily closed while authorities were present. At this time, the identity of the deceased victim has not been released. No additional information on the fatal crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
